About the Israeli Foundation for Olympic Excellence in Sports (IFOE):

Founded by Israel's most decorated athlete and Olympic medalist Arik Zeevi, the IFOE hires and funds Olympic coaches who identify, support and train gifted Israeli children and youth for excellence in sports. Historically, financial support has only been given to the accomplished athletes who have already reached Olympic qualification age. Israeli children and youth gifted with Olympic potential are overlooked and under-invested. There is a large pool of potential Olympians who are simply not discovered, fostered or coached in time. When a country exhibits sporting achievements on a global level, its athletes become the nation's ambassadors of sporting excellence. The IFOE was founded to tap into this precious and hidden resource and unleash Israel’s Olympic potential. By promoting a sporting culture of fairness and aspiration to excellence, the IFOE hopes to grow Israel's future pool of potential Olympic athletes as well as impact Israel’s image globally. Please visit IFOE website for additional information.
